Coaching

The 12-Steps were originally created in 1935 as part of the program, Alcoholics Anonymous. The basis of this blueprint for living was designed to help those living with alcoholism not only abstain from drinking but also help them to develop better relationships through self-assessment, admission of wrongs done to others and ultimately improving one’s connection with a Higher Power as well as “carrying the message” to others who may suffer from a similar malady.

There are many parallels that can be drawn from the principles found in the 12 Steps and those utilized in the world of leadership. While these themes are spiritual in nature, they are also universal. Honesty, open-mindedness, and willingness are but a few of the principles that can be applied to the decision leaders make.

Leadership Through the Lens of the 12 Steps is a workbook that can be used by the reader as a means of self-exploration and professional development. It is written for executives, managers, and anyone who wants to grow professionally. Not only does it provide an explanation of the correlation between the principles found in recovery programs and leadership, it also includes questions that are designed for the reader or to be guided with the assistance of a coach or mentor as well.

Leadership Through the Lens of the 12 Steps takes a unique approach to the concept of leadership development. It is guaranteed to provide the reader with the tools they need to work towards the potential they have and become the leader they aspire to be.

My Leadership Through the Lens of the 12 Steps Mastermind Class is based on my over 28 years of professional background in the for profit and nonprofit sector. It also encompasses my experience as a 2019 graduate of the Health Foundation of Western and Central New York Health Leadership Fellows Program.

Karl’s coaching philosophy is based on the principles of potential, faith, and strength.

Potential: You can break through your self-perceived limitations. You can do far more than you believe is possible. It all starts with saying, “Yes, I can!”

Faith: This is an important part of triumphing over adversity. When you are in a difficult place, remember that there is a Presence that is supporting and guiding you. There is also the concept of having faith in oneself which helps to promote self-confidence and positive self-esteem.

Strength: You can overcome seemingly impossible odds. But you are designed to be strong and capable. Sometimes you just need some help. This can be your first step.

The first step is to schedule a discovery call. Just sign up below with your contact information. During this time, he will speak with you so he can learn more about what you want to achieve and determine if the two of you are a good match. It’s as simple as that!
